The Kellner Center for Neurogenomics, Behavior, and Society at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign will be offering FULLY PAID summer research opportunities for University of Illinois Springfield students in Summer 2026! These are geared especially toward UIS students who are interested in genes, brains, behavior, and mental health, and/or curious about research.
These summer research opportunities have been made possible through Kellner Center small grants and collaborations with our colleagues at the University of Illinois Springfield. Additionally, the Kellner Center donors, Bill and Julie Kellner, have deep connections to the University of Illinois Springfield campus and look forward to expanding participation in some of the exciting activities happening at the Kellner Center to the Springfield community.
To apply, follow this Application link. In the Program section of the application form, indicate “Kellner Center” where it asks for the name of a UIUC faculty member. Applications will be accepted until February 17, 2026.
Feel free to reach out to kellnercenter@illinois.edu with questions.
