The Kellner Center is excited to announce the launch of Lunchtime Lab: Genes, Social Behavior, and Mental Health. This new discussion series is organized through the Kellner Center for Neurogenomics, Behavior, and Society by the Carl R. Woese Institute for Genomic Biology, the Center for Social & Behavioral Science, and the School of Social Work. It aims to explore the connections between genes, brain, behavior, and mental health with attention to the social context.

Each session will feature lightning talks from researchers across a range of disciplines, showcasing insights into both animal and human models. The goal is to spark interdisciplinary connections, ignite new research ideas, and pave the way for future seed funding opportunities in Fall 2025.

The first Lunchtime Lab takes place February 27, focusing on the topic of schizotypy with lighting talks by Thomas Kwapil and Uwe Rudolph. We will have two more Lunchtime Labs this semester: March 24 on ASD/Neurodivergence, and April 28 on trauma/resilience.
